Some things to consider about TravelSafe

If you have a medical emergency, we will contact the hospital directly to facilitate communication. For any non-emergency medical treatment, to file a travel insurance claim, please contact us as soon as possible after the incident to initiate the process.

With us, you can file a claim online, by phone, or through a mobile app. Online submission is typically the most efficient method, as it allows for immediate digital upload of supporting documentation.

When filing a claim online, you will generally need to provide your policy number, trip details, and the type of claim (e.g., trip cancellation, medical expenses, baggage delay).

Before you begin, gather all necessary documentation, such as receipts, medical reports, police reports, booking confirmations, and expense vouchers.

For medical claims, you may need a medical certificate, detailed invoices, and signed authorization forms, such as the HIPAA form for the release of protected health information.

Ensure all documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays or denials. Some insurers, such as TravelSafe, allow you to save the progress of your claim and return to it later, which can be helpful if you don't have all the documents immediately available.

You don't need to complete the claim in one sitting without the ability to save your progress. Always keep copies of all submitted documents and correspondence for your records.

After submission, the insurer will review your claim, which typically takes 10 to 15 days, depending on the complexity of the claim.

If your claim is incomplete or rejected, we may contact you to request additional information or to allow you to appeal the decision.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can escalate the complaint to a third party, such as the Financial Ombudsman in your region.
